Custom Art Commissions

I've always felt that art should make your heart sing, and that you should decorate your home with the things you love. It is an artist's greatest privilege to be chosen to bring someone's vision to fruition, and I would be so happy to work with you to make that custom piece come to life! If you would like for me to create a custom painting for the 2026 year please follow the steps below.

Know the artist.

Take a moment to look at my work on my website and social media pages, review the terms and conditions, and feel free to ask questions. This will help you to decide if I am the right artist for you.

Vision is sketched.

I will present you with one to three thumbnail sized sketches to get a sense of composition. This is the time to make any big changes. We will settle on one together. This step may take a few weeks to complete and can also be done via email, or zoom.

Request some art.

Review the sizes and pricing list and fill out the request form below. Please share as much information as you'd like, and include reference photos if you have them.

Work in progress.

I will get started on your painting. This could take several weeks to several months depending on my schedule. You will get an estimated completion date. I will let you know when it is near completion, and if desired I will send a photo. At this point only minor changes can be made such as slight color shifts.

Share your vision.

We will discuss your vision together over email or a zoom meeting. If we are both on the same page, I will send an invoice for your commission deposit (25% of total) and once payment is received we will move on to step 4.

Payment and possession.

Upon completion of the painting I will send an invoice for the remainder owing, and once paid the painting will be varnished, wrapped and ready for shipping or pick up.

Describe your vision

The more details you can provide about your vision, the better I can bring it to life. Include any specific elements, colors, or emotions you want captured. If you are including reference photos please describe what aspects of the photos you love most.

Reference images

Upload any reference photos, inspirational images, or examples that help illustrate your vision. You may also want to include a photo of the area in your home the painting will go. This can really help me to figure out composition details. You can upload up to 30 images.

Preferred Size

Do you have a deadline?*

*Please note there is no guarantee that your piece will be completed by the selected deadline. All commissions will be completed within the calendar year, but having a date in mind helps me organize and schedule the different commission pieces throughout the year. I will notify you once your piece has been started and if the deadline selected is realistic.
